Recognizing and Managing ADHD in your Adult Patient CE

This intensive one-day workshop provides an overview of ADHD evaluation and treatment of adult clients. Many mental health clinicians have received inadequate training regarding ADHD in their formal training programs which can result in misdiagnosis and improper prescribing. Additionally, it is not uncommon for providers to have a bias regarding both the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults. Often, medications to treat ADHD are not thoroughly understood by patients or providers which further impacts receiving proper treatment.  After completing this training, participants will report significantly improved confidence in conducting a thorough differential diagnosis of ADHD and recognizing common co-morbidities. Accurate diagnosis contributes to more rapid application of effective interventions, thereby improving quality of patient care.  Providers will feel more confident in being able to observe desirable and undesirable medication responses, evaluate therapeutic response, recognize "red flags" for drug-seeking behavior, and will feel more confident incorporating behavioral techniques to manage frequently reported symptoms. This training provides 7 CE hours, including 2 pharmacology hours. This continuing nursing education activity was approved by Oregon Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation ***Please note, NO CE credit will be given for attendees registered at the Student/Trainee level*** Refund Policy Refunds for participants will be offered in full until 7 days prior to the training event. If a participant cancels less than 7 days prior to the event, registration fees will not be refunded.  Please direct all questions regarding this training to
